Host a SMAC!-Down

SMAC! Sock Monkeys Against Cancer is a gang of philanthropic monkeys that provides tangible support to those battling cancer, reminding them that no one fights it alone.

I am launching with two SMAC! monkeys:

• NoMo – the ALL cancer fighting monkey
• Phoenix – the “WTF? (Where’s the Funding) for Lung Cancer? fighting monkey”

My goal is to create a custom monkey for each type of cancer. But, first thing’s first. We need to get NoMo and Phoenix launched—successfully.

Here’s an offline way for everyone to help bring NoMo & Phoenix to life: Hold a SMAC!-down.

Here’s the gist…Instead of a Scentsy or Pampered Chef-type party, people host SMAC!-down parties. Or instead of Bunco, make it a SMAC!-down. Or just a good excuse to create a Girls Night Out.

The SMAC!-downs can be hosted at someone’s house or some place like Panera, so people don’t have the stress of worrying about cleaning their houses, providing snacks, etc. It can be BYOB – a completely casual get-together. However, at a SMAC!-down, guests come to not only enjoy great chit chat, appetizers and drinks, but also to GIVE – pledge their support for the SMAC! monkeys…right then and there.

It can be a great way to get everyone across the country involved in not only the giving aspect of the SMAC! monkey mission, but also the necessary fundraising part to bring NoMo and Phoenix to life.

SMAC!-down Details
The campaign kicks off November 1st and runs through November 30th. We have $35k+ to raise in order for this campaign to be a success! So, you will want to schedule your SMAC!-down in November. We CAN do it.
